More On Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey has been around the barn more than once. Actually Oprah Winfrey has been around the barn probably a lot more than that. This woman grew up disadvantaged, poor and she claims that she was abused in more ways than one. What did Oprah Winfrey do with that? Well, she did not lay down and roll over. Oprah Winfrey became a super celebrity in modern times, that is what she did. Oprah now has a vast multimedia empire that spans television, magazines, books and who knows how much else. She seems to have her fingers in every pie! What I love best about Oprah Winfrey is that she gives back in spades the money she has made. Oprah Winfrey goes out of her way to help other people, not only with money and funding, but also to give desperate and down on their luck folks inspiration, courage and hope. Oprah says that she has battled many demons, including her weight. It is interesting to see Oprah and the changes she has made with her figure over the years, especially if you look back a long way! Oprah is super courageous and brave, and I admire anyone who makes tons of money and then gives back to the community. Oprah Winfrey is a wonderful person who has done so much good in the world.
Nevertheless we witness from her fans some mitigated opinions about the shows' conduct. Here is one of them, read on:
Ok. There is no one who has not heard of Oprah Winfrey. At first I loved her, because of her weight issues, and now with her hypothyroid issues, as I myself have hypothyroidism. However, she is really annoying. Every time she has a guest on the show she will interrupt the guest and put what they’re trying to say in her own words. I mean seriously; give them a chance to talk. She is especially bad with the psychologists.

And then I don’t know if she’s into it; but all these celebrities going into the ‘go green’ when each of them, especially Oprah, has several million dollar homes sitting there and wasting energy. And they have private jets and they ask us to use one piece of toilet paper? PLEASE!! When you people like Oprah stop wasting resources that you think you need, then I’ll consider using just one piece of tissue to wipe.

I don’t know how Oprah does it though. If there is something like a book presented on Oprah than it has instant success and is on the best sellers list for weeks. Like Anna Kerenina. I remember seeing that title on the best sellers during her book club; now I am a fan of the book so I was delighted. So what does the woman HAVE? I mean, she can irritate the hell out of me but other times it’s amazing how much leverage she has.

I do appreciate the fact that she does try to help people; like decorating their balconies for spring to give them an extra pretty space, or buy new cars for poor mothers. But seriously, I just don’t know. If she really is trying to spread goodwill don’t buy all those houses or whatever. Then I might appreciate her more. But I can’t help but like her. But she is so annoying. I can’t make up my mind. I think I will go with annoying, because even though she helps people there is an ‘all about me’ thing in there that she really need to try to get rid of. Other than that she has an amazing power for just one woman. Make up your own mind about her but I’m just stating how I feel really. I have honestly stopped watching her show because she interrupts her guests so much because she thinks she has something better to say.

About Oprah Winfrey Talk Shows

The Oprah Winfrey Show has featured many celebrities over the years, but that´s only one side of it. There´s also Oprah´s eternal quest to better herself, and to make the viewers change themselves. Oprah has started several organizations: Oprah´s angel network, Oprah´s book club, and O Magazine. For a couple of years now, the show frequently ends with a "Remember your spirit" segment. The show is produced by Oprah´s own company, Harpo (which spells Oprah backwards). The Oprah Winfrey show is now entering its 20th year of production as a syndicated show. But starting in 2011, she'll no longer be doing her show since she won't be renewing her contract.
Oprah is quite possibly the most popular talk show on the planet. Part of what makes Oprah so popular is that she is always so nice. On one of her episodes this past year she gave a audience full of teachers their own new car. On every episode she gives her studio audience something, and she always treats her guest very well. This talk show is for the most part a wholesome uplifting show to watch, unlike other talk shows that tend to be sensationalistic Oprah always has a good story to tell. She also has a book club, where you can read a book along with Oprah and listen to discussions on the show. Oprah gets a rep as a show for housewives, but it really is a fantastic show for everyone to watch.
Personally i can say that one of my favorite television talk shows is Oprah. Oprah is on Channel 10 at 1pm in the afternoon.

One of the reasons why I like watching her shows is because Oprah the talk show host is really genuine and down to earth. I like it how she has not let all her fame and riches get to her. She treats everyone equally and does not judge anyone. She always shows her guests the upmost respect.

On this talk show, Oprah always has interesting show topics. Today was about Tom Cruise. She went to his house in Colorado up in the Mountains. That to me said alot about her, she took the time and effort to go to his house. Don’t know many talk show hosts that would go out of their way to go to someone else’s house. She seemed so normal when she was there, they sat on the couch and did the interview and she had her feet up on the couch. She also went tabogining with Tom Cruise. She took the time to show viewers watching, the real Tom Cruise.

The following day, Oprah then did a second show on Tom Cruise, paying tribute to his 25 years in show business. I really enjoyed watching this show. Looking back on some of the great movies Tom has been in. One of my all time favourties was Cocktail, where Tom Cruise was the bar man.

Oprah has also done many inspirational shows. For example she once did a show on how she has set up a school for young African girls. I was so amazed at how much she had changed these poor girls lives around, she gave them a golden opportunity in life.

There are many other phenomenal shows that she has had, all very entertaining and informative. If you take the time to watch one of her shows, you will be delighted. She is a great inspiration to watch.

Oprah Winfrey is a role model for black and white Americans. She was born on January 29th 1954 in Mississippi.I know that she had to deal with a lot of racial discrimination. The Oprah Winfrey show, which actually started as A.M. Chicago morning talk show, began in 1984 As the most successful talk show ever founded. She has the most moral based discussions for everyone.I just have to say that though I am a “White” American, Oprah Winfrey is a role model for me. She has done so much for underpriviledged children all over the world. In 1993 Bill Clinton signed the National “OprahBill” into law ,it is a National database of convicted child abusers. This is just some of the many things that she has done for children

Oprah Winfrey Profile

this is in a glance what we know about the most popular tv show Afro-American guru.
Oprah Gail Winfrey (born January 29, 1954) is an American television presenter, media mogul and philanthropist. Her internationally-syndicated talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, has earned her multiple Emmy Awards and is the highest-rated talk show in the history of television. She is also an influential book critic, an Academy Award nominated actress, and a magazine publisher. She has been ranked the richest African American of the 20th century, the most philanthropic African American of all time, and was once the world's only black billionaire. She is also, according to some assessments, the most influential woman in the world.

Born in rural Mississippi to a poor teenage single mother and later raised in an inner city Milwaukee neighborhood, Winfrey was raped at age 9 and at 14-years-old gave birth to a son, who died in infancy. Sent to live with the man she calls her father, a barber in Tennessee, Winfrey landed a job in radio while still in high school and began co-anchoring the local evening news at the age of 19. Her emotional ad-lib delivery eventually got her transferred to the daytime talk show arena, and after boosting a third-rated local Chicago talk show to first place, she launched her own production company and became internationally syndicated.

Credited with creating a more intimate confessional form of media communication, she is thought to have popularized and revolutionized the tabloid talk show genre pioneered by Phil Donahue, which a Yale study claimed broke 20th century taboos and allowed LGBT people to enter the mainstream. By the mid 1990s she had reinvented her show with a focus on literature, self-improvement, and spirituality. Though criticized for unleashing confession culture and promoting controversial self-help fads, she is generally admired for overcoming adversity to become a benefactor to others. In 2006 she became an early supporter of Barack Obama and one analysis estimates she delivered over a million votes in the close 2008 Democratic primary race, an achievement for which the governor of Illinois considered offering her a seat in the U.S. senate.
